Flu Vaccinations

As you may have already seen in the media we are facing a delay to our flu vaccinations of at least a week, possibly two weeks - this mainly affects vaccinations for those 65 and OVER.
We will be contacting patients booked individually via text or phone call to change the date of flu vaccinations made before 18th September. Unfortunately we will only receive a weeks notice of when the vaccines will be with us and will therefore update you weekly on whether any further clinics need to be re arranged.
We apologise for this however as I am sure you have read already this is out of our hands.
Many thanks for your patience.
Practice Manager

We will begin this week calling patients to book in those eligible for their flu vaccinations and expect to start vaccinating from the middle of September.
We will vaccinate those patients who are most vulnerable first however patients will also be vaccinated in the order that we actually receive the vaccines for their cohort.
There was some expectation that a Covid booster would be administered at the same time as the flu vaccine however the plans around the Covid booster have not yet been finalised by the Government. In order to protect patients from flu the practice will proceed with our influenza vaccination programme as normal.

Once we have more information regarding Covid boosters we will let you know.

We politely ask that you wait for our call to book you into the clinics in order to protect the incoming phone lines.
